The City of Hartford in conjunction with the DOT is announcing the start of work on April 1, 2024, weather permitting, for the installation of traffic signal and pedestrian crosswalk improvements.
Project Locations:
• Main St. at Arch St. and Wells St.
• Main St. at Sheldon St. and Elm St.
• Main St. at Capitol Ave
• Main St. at Charter Oak Ave and Buckingham St.
The project consists of replacement and relocation of Concrete Pedestrian Ramps and installation of updated Pedestrian Crosswalk signals and appurtenances as well as traffic control signal improvements.

Roadway construction activity and roadway lane closures will occur during the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm.
Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and proceed with caution through this and all other construction work zones.
