We received the following info about area street closures for filming of a new Hallmark Christmas movie. We are excited that local businesses and homes will be featured in the film, and one of our SoDo neighbors is even a department head on the production team.
Dear Neighbor,
You may be seeing some Christmas in September downtown as work begins on
an upcoming Hallmark Channel movie. The filming will take place in and around
Capitol Avenue, Linden Place, and Main Street.
Please note that the film crew will strive to make this experience as unobtrusive for the neighborhood as possible.
There are a few logistical items that you should be aware of. The city will be closing streets and/or stationing police officers for traffic control per the below schedule. During intermittent traffic control (ITC), the street(s) will still be open to cars at the direction of the police officers. Please note that parking may be limited in certain areas at times. Please take note of no-parking signs.

Additionally, some homes and businesses are being temporarily styled with Christmas decorations. Members of the location team have heard and understand the concerns of residents, and have implemented measures to ensure that cleanup of these decorations will be immediate and thorough once the production in the neighborhood has been completed.
The producers may still be looking for extras, click here for more info and to sign up.
